Started in 2007, the One Reach One Goat project has helped four families. The project funds families in the purchasing of goat. The sale of the goat’s milk allows the family to purchase much needed goods.
In addition, the goat’s milk is an important daily food where meat consumption is low. It’s a good source of protein, phosphate and calcium not available otherwise because of a lack of cow milk.
A contribution of $120 for a goat and $30 to build a shed can begin a family on the road to improving their health and economic condition.
